Lighting inside of a building.

I am convinced I made a request for information regarding lighting the inside area of individual buildings but can I find it on the forums? No way. I think I'm going off my rocker.
What I'd like to do is light up the interior of individual buildings. Could someone please tell me if it is possible and if so, how to do it.
Thank you............................Vacant!

There is architectural sampling for insides, alternatively, set your walls so they don't cast shadows.
If you think about what a room is, it has lights and/or windows, windows don't cast shadows do they.
If you go inside your Forum username area - you can find all the posts you've started, etc.
There are several ways to bring light inside a building.
For Iray?
If it is not in the image, one can remove ceilings or walls or doors so outside light can enter in.
One can make spheres or planes and turn their emission on [change the black to white] and place them where wanted, put their geometry cutout value to something like 0.0001 {and it is best if the area they are in also is not in the image - can get some pixel dust otherwise}
One can make some surfaces to emit light as well ... nice for lamps, etc.
I beleieve the Architectural Sampler is deprecated, and will be going away (if it hasn't already).
Windows (with glass in) do cast shadows - but they are much weaker than the shadows cast by the walls.
Guess I'm a bit puzzled by the original question, but the short answer is "Sure." As mentioned, numerous options.
If your asking if there are there Lighting Presets for any given product, often not.
I suggest you explore the Create Tab for New Spot or Point light & just play around, then move on to making area & sphere lights from primatives. If the model has lots of windows, explore using HDR enviro lights.
As Doc, says, just hit the 'Create new Spot' button and if you have angled your viewing camera where you want the spot to point then just choose the second option down and Daz will put the spot light pointing in exactly that direction. It couldn't be easier. You'll need to go to the lights tab and increase the amount of light depending on your settings. TBH. I rarely change my render settings but adjust the lights, it's easier unless I've set up a lot of lights then I'll adjust the exposure but if you're getting used to things KIS (Keep it simple) :) Oh, in the lights tab/pane Choose Photometrics and turn up the Lumens if you're in iray otherwise it will probably be okay at default. It does depend though on your render settings. You just have to play and test render.
OK everyone, thank you all for the great information. That'll keep me off the streets for a few evenings.
