Geoshell part of object

I've been reading some previous posts on geoshells.  I have had success with creating a geoshell of an entire object.  

Is there a way of creating a geoshell of part of an object?  For example, say you only want a person's hands to be wet (maybe they are washing their hands).

    You'll have to hide the parts of the geoshell you don't need, there's no way to create partial shells AFAIK.

    Thank you, Leana.  That's what I suspected.  By saying hide the parts of the geoshell I don't need, you are talking about doing that in the surfaces tab?  I don't see an expanded hierarchy like one would see on a figure.  In other words, the geoshell object in the Scene tab does not expand.

    There are two 'sections' in the Posing Parameters tab (Shell> Visibility) where you can hide/show parts of the GeoShell by Surfaces ('high level') or by Face Groups ('low level')
