Apply Expression to Lower Face Only?

Is there a way to apply a full face expression only to the lower face?

Some providers have produced poses that are specific to the upper and lower parts of the face only, but that doesn't help you if the pose isn't set up that way.

One thing you can do is lock the portions of the head that do not move.

1.  Select the parts of the head you don't want to move in the scene tab.

2.  Right-click on the surfaces tab.

3.  Select "lock selected nodes pose"  It's not essential, but you can also choose "lock selected nodes shape" to prevent accidentally changing the morphs.

Note:  the locks will remain on till you remove them, which you will have to do if you later want to add a pose to the whole head.

Then apply the pose as you normally would.

NOTE:  If you only lock the parent nodes, then the children will still be affected by the pose.  Any easy way to get to them all without a lot of clicking is right-click on the parent node then choose "Expand FROM selected"  (emphasis mine)
