Does anyone know of any simple tutorials that explain how to get the fur to look shorter or longer?

I am having trouble finding how to do this.

    Go to the surface tab of the fur.

    In the Search field (the little magnifying glass and text bar) type 'Generated Hair Scale'. You will end up with an entry 'PS Generated Hair Scale' and 'PR Generated Hair Scale.' You can increase or decrease the value, it will make the hair longer or shorter.
