Fatal Stranger Emotions - cannot find the emotions in the menus

I bought this character: https://www.daz3d.com/fatal-stranger-hd-for-genesis-8-female

Then I bought the emotions pack specifically designed for her: https://www.daz3d.com/fatal-stranger-emotions-for-genesis-8-female

Problem is, the emotions are nowehere to be found. The product section of the Smart Content only shows a single item, which is the ZERO All Fatal Stranger Emotions. I can find the emotions neither under Smart Content, nor in the Posing or Shaping menus on the right.

Could anyone help me, please?

If it installed correctly, you should see them in the pose tab. For me, they show under "pose controls>head>expressions>fatal stranger emotions".

How did you install them? I used DIM when I got the set. Sometimes there can be errors when downloading and such. Have you tried to delete and install again?

I used the Install Manager to download and install my order. Reinstalling via the studio fixed it, thank you.smiley

Usually you'll never find expression/emotion morphs in Smart Content. When you click on an icon, the expression is always applied at 100%. What happens when you want to mix two or more expressions? The results have been known to make Quasimodo look handsome.

The proper place to find expressions is in either the Parameters tab or the Posing tab, in the subsection Pose Controls>Head>Expressions. This gives you parameter dials where you can set part values, for less than extreme expressions or for mixing them.

About your installation glitch; did you install the Genesis with DIM (the installation manager) or Connect (the function inside DAZ|Studio)? Some people have reported problems when they mix the two, or install with both methods, without realising it.

I always install with DIM. It must have been some sort of a hickup during the installation.

I was confused because the emotions did not appear anywhere, yet the product was listed under Smart Content and only the reset option was there. All is fine, she can now use her special set of emotions.

Found em, had to search a bit myself, under the TAB:

    Posing/ Pose Controls/ Head/ Expressions/ Fatal Stranger/

  • A trick I do when I can't find something is I go to DIM and go to the installed tab, search for the item in question. Then I click on the little arrow button on the far right and click show installed files. Then I just look to see where it's located and follow the folders to find it in the content library!
