The Dead Zone

Can this be used without the sand?

Absolutely. You can remove the terrain from the presets if you want to use something else. The pieces are modular, so you can combine them any way you want.

That's funny, I spent all night looking for that set.

I thought it was called Silent City, but that's a different set.

Time to do some kitbashing to create an believable interior location.

Just to note, the pieces in The Dead Zone are only façades with a half-roof. You can put them back-to-back to make an enclosed space (good for aerial shots), but there is no end cap, so you can't really show the end. Still, good for abandoned research or military facilities.

  • Just out of curiousity:  Is there a non-worn, looks-brand-new set of texture for it somewhere, for if someone wanted to do a flashback scene to before it got abandoned and worn?

If there is, it isn't here. A fresh coat of paint shader could spruce it up, but there are few material zones. You could make some new ones in Geometry Editor, and maybe add some dusty/dirty decals to give it a slightly less-than-factory-fresh look. Or make your own bitmaps from the templates, if you have some time on your hands...
