Increasing pan and zoom speed using only keyboard/mouse combo?

Does anyone happen to know if there is a way to increase the speed of panning and dolly zooming when *only* using the keyboard and mouse shortcuts (not touching the gizmo, it's adjacent buttons, or using the Scene Navigator tool)? The rotation speed is good enough, but I'm trying to test holding down a tablet button to adjust the camera and the pan and zooming speed is just way too slow. Increasing the speed in the Tool Settings panel with Scene Navigator active has no effect on the keyboard-only commands.

Thanks in advance.

With a single primitive cube or sphere, it is almost too fast at a setting of 20 (and it can go to 100). With a large scene, it slows down quite a bit. Guess it depends on what your graphics card can handle. Or maybe the polling on the tablet button is at a low priority. Not sure how they compare to hardware keyboards.

Thanks, but that wasn't what I was asking. I mentioned above that it's not about the speed you set in the Tool Settings panel for the Scene Navigator, it's the speed of the zoom and pan when only using keyboard shortcuts.

That's how you set the Keyboard Navigation speed, there is no separate tool setting for it. Changing the settings for Scene Navigator changes the response of the keyboard input and the mouse actions. I did verify it first. I question how tablets handle "keyboard" inputs from a tablet's touch screen compared to a hardware keyboard.

No, that isn't what I'm talking about, I just tried it now. I want to change the speed of the movement when using the mouse button modifiers at the bottom of the Customize menu. For example, if I change the drop down to Dolly, my shortcut is Ctrl-Alt-Middle Mouse Button (not sure if that's the default). THAT'S the speed I want to adjust and the settings in the Tool Settings do not change it.

Sorry, I got hung up on "keyboard". No, you're right, it won't change those speeds (people have been asking about those for years), but it does speed up the keyboard navigation. And why not the Scene Navigator tool? It does what you want, and can be adjusted. Just curious, now. The only view control I find too slow is the mouse wheel dolly zoom. I keep forgetting the combo modifier buttons, even though I have them written on a post-it stuck to the bottom of the monitor.

Ah, ok thanks very much. I really just wanted to see if I could control movement completely with a tablet dial without switching to another tool, but I'll experiment more with that and see if hotkeys can be assigned to individual movement types.

There are already keys assigned when Keyboard Navigation is in use. The only thing I don't like is that the keys stay active even if the viewport does not have focus. You have to remember to turn it off if you want to type something that has any of those letters in it.
