DAZ Timeline Question... Expressions change every frame

Hey Guys!  I'm hoping you can help me understand this timeline a bit better.  I created my characters, and sets, in different sittings and saved them all out as Scene Subsets, then I combined them together, as needed, when rendering comic pages.  I miss the straightforwardness of the old timeline (and I know somebody will say to change it from advanced, but then I can't figure out why I have no actual keyframe control or "zoom" functionality), but since I'm stuck with this new one I thought I'd try to get some help learning what I'm doing wrong.

I'm trying to simulate hair, and use a custom value for the timeline, but every frame the characters expression reverts back to some pose I must have used a while back, and I've deleted every single keyframe I can find.  I also have an issue where no matter how many keyframes I delete, moving backwards resets all of the body morphs and there's no way to stop that from happening.  I dont' understand how things are "saved" in this timeline when there are NO keyframes left except for on my frame.

Any ideas on this?  I'm wasting SO MUCH TIME just trying to get to a place where I have a few frames where, miraculously it seems, nothing moves and bounces around just so I can simulate some hair.

Even just taking a single frame and deleting EVERY SINGLE KEYFRAME aside from what is on that frame would be helpful, as then I can just start from scratch again.

EDIT - OR maybe there's a way to just save this whole scene out and re-load it at frame 0 with NO added keyframes?  That's basically what I'm trying to do here... and would also solve my issue.

  • Did you look at the hidden keyframes? At the bottom of the timeline, there's a button where it shows like six options for what keyframes to show and for whatever reason there are hidden keyframes. I run into similar problems as yourself and then check the box for hidden keyframes and usually find my problem.

  • By default morphs aren't shown -using the pop-up list benniewoodell mentions make sure Other is selected.

OH HOLY CRAP LOOK AT THAT!  Geez... this is as revolutionary when somebody suggested to hit that "Update and Merge Menus" button and it changed my world.  NOW THIS!

Thanks for the help!  I haven't tried deleting any of these, yet, because I have everything where I want it for this render, but I see a bunch in there now that I didn't see before, so that has got to be it!  Thanks again!

This makes sense, now.  I do appreciate it, thank you, as always, for your expertise :)

It's also worth mentioning that when you add a keyframe it only keys things selected and does not recurse, so make sure you're exploding your skeleton.
