Feedback on my Modeling

Just wondering if anyone had any thoughts or feedback on my models (I'm pretty new to this btw, but have spent a lot of time the last several months learning). The models are not rigged or ready for distribution or anything, but I also do sculpting on g3/g8 models so they're usable with Daz. I use Zbrush, Cinema4D, and just started with Substance Painter. I often do render in Daz (either Iray or Octane)... a lot of the other custom work is in my gallery.

The boots on the cyborg-female are not my design. The eyes in the male cyborg head are not my design.

From what I can see I'm very impressed!! I really like Abstrak Arkitek, and the Full Metal-Mesh Jacket (Character WIP) is amazing!!

Excellent quality!  There would definately be a market for your work for Daz users.

They look good to me but I'm not a professional 3D modeler to give you expert advice.

Full Metal-Mesh Jacket would be awesome, if made for Genesis 8 Female.

Some observations, purely on what you posted here :

    * You seem to know your cyborg modelling
    * Love attention to detail, like the glowing circuitry
    * More form than function (which in art can be a good thing)

What direction do you want to take this?
In any case I think the full metal mesh would be great in the shop.

    Looks really good to me!

  • I think you're going to be quite popular 'round these parts. Good luck!

Wow thank you all so much for all the feedback. It is tremendously motivating to hear your kind words. (And sorry for my late reply). As far as the direction I’d like to take it in, I would like to eventually make content that could sell through the Daz store, that would be amazing. Although right now I have to work on getting my designs output on to normal and displacement maps to get them to work on the genesis8 models. From my understanding, the vertices cannot be altered on the model for it to be re-imported into Daz as a morph on a G3 or G8 model. I will have to keep working at it :)

    @Hylas

Thanks for checking out my work. Those eyes are actually not my own design, they are the only part of the model that I didn't make myself... they are available with this character:

As a total amateur whose opinion means nothing, these are my honest impressions of you work:

    • I like the last two cyborg figures ('Full Metal Mesh Jacket' and 'Terminator').I especially like the construction of the arm and neck of the female cyborg.
    • The first image 'Abstrak Arkitek' is too simplistic and too obvious for me to appreciate.
    • The feautres and detailing in the second image 'Cyborg Head Sculpt' don't seem to have any rationale in their placement.

This is really nice. What tends to turn me off a purchase though, is how the cyber parts bend when the figure does, especially in the arms and legs. Dont know if you plan on selling, but thats what I look for in all the cyber models.

    Nice job!

  • I like it. I have never seen a cyborg with a beard. The first image is too dark and loses nearly half the detail in shadow.
