Install Manager Won't Regognize Already Downloaded Content

I bought a new computer, and downloaded and installed the latest versions of Daz Studio and Install Manager.  DAZ Studio seems to be working fine.  I entered the new content path, and my content shows up in the Content Pane.  But install Manger says I have no content installed, and I have to install 6000 products.  How do I get IM to recognize the already installed content?

Using the IM I downloaded and installed one product.  IM installed it in the correct folders, and I can open the content in Studio.

Thanks!

    Are the Package Archive (Settings->Downloads) and the Manifest Archive (Settings->Installation) folders properly set in DIM?

    How do I find out what these two settings are supposed to be?

    If all the products show on the "Ready to Install" tab (i.e., downloaded), then the Package Archive path is properly set. The manifest files in that folder are refreshed by DIM to cross-check with the DAZ servers for products you own and have downloaded. If it wasn't set properly, you would see 6000 Products Ready to Download.

    Another manifest is generated when you install, and goes to another folder, the Manifest Archive. If you have not yet changed its path from the default, and did not previously change it with the old computer, I'm afraid that the installation data is still on the old computer's drive. I assume you are using a separate disc for the library that you transferred from the old computer to the new. The default folder is (if I remember correctly) in "C:\Users\Public\Documents\DAZ 3D\InstallManager\ManifestFiles". You would need to copy that folder to the same place on the new computer (or wherever DIM is configured for) for DIM to know what has been installed.

    If you're running the default settings - and it sounds like you are - DIM keeps track of installed content in C:\Users\Public\Public Documents\DAZ 3D\InstallManager in the directory ManifestFiles. You need to copy that over from the old system.

    @Fauvist

    You need to copy the manifest file folde from the old computer. You can also copy the content folders as long as you make the paths are correct in Studio and DIM.

    I use Macs, but I'll look for a file called ManifestFiles, and copy them to the new computer.  THANKS!  I'll try it,

    Since I successfully used DM to download one product on the new computer, would DM have created a ManifestFiles file already?

    Which? It will have a manifest in the package archive, which describes the zip, but unless you have installed it won't have created one in the manifests folder.

    It may have been created when DIM was installed, but it would exist after having installed at least one product. If you used the same DIM settings on the old computer, the folder or directory will be the same.
