Have you done it successfully before? What steps do you take? Can you show screenshots of what's not working?

  • What do you mean by stetching? Are you working on a base Genesis 8 Female or are you using the Victoria 8 shape?

  • If you could post a screen shot it might help to see what the issue is.

I assume you have used the Transfer Utility to rig the clothing to G8F. That creates a basic weight map for the clothing, but you may need to refine it with the weight brush tool. You also probably need to create Joint Control Morphs (JCMs) for bone rotations. Poses like raising the arms above the head almost always cause ugly mesh distortions in the underarm area. DarkEdgeDesign has a couple useful MD/Daz tutorials in the Daz Store.

As Richard and Cris said, some screenshots of your problem would lead to better diagnosis and advice.

Rigging the imported mesh causes all kind of problems, like @barbult said. If you aren't animating, it is way easier to drape the cloth to your desired pose and then export the mesh from MD to Studio. The clothing piece isn't very flexible and you have to do this for each individual pose but proper rigging takes time, too ... and skill (which I myself definitely don't have).

But then of course if you want to create clothing pieces to sell via the Daz store, that's an entirely different topic.
