Soften Blush?

I've modified an existing blush, by editing the PNG in PhotoShop and I have it how I'd like it. Unfortunately, it's a bit too "strong" if that makes sense. Any PhotoShop wizards know what kind of changes I could apply to essentially soften the effect so that I could apply it to the same character multiple times in much more gradual stages?

    I'm not sure what you mean by soften. Assuming it's n a separate layer you could just reduce the opacity, if you want to moderate the final effect.
