Octane Plugin and Rendering in Daz

I'm currently running the latest production release of Daz Studio on a Windows 10 64 bit machine.

The newest free Octane plugin is installed and working, since the first file I opened ran through a series of pop ups before being ready for editing.

After some slight adjustments for clothing pokethroughs. I ran a test render. When checking the task manager, LO AND BEHOLD, my GPU a 1660 Ti was running at an ASTOUNDING !! 1 percent utilization.

I have all the latest drivers from Invidia loaded.

So what gives? It was my understanding that the Octane plugin would pull in the processing power of the 1660Ti to speed along renders.

But I'm not seeing this.

Any ideas? Something that I should be looking for? Changing?

TIA.

Sometimes the task manager does not tell you accurate info about gpu usage. I recommend you download another program like HWmonitor to monitor your gpu.

Octane cannot use the cpu. So if it is rendering, it is using your gpu. Did you switch to displaying Cuda in task manager? By default it will only show other gpu parameters (3D copying, etc. ) You can select Cuda in the drop down menus.
    ciao

..Octane has Out Of Core Rendering so it will use the memory on your MB should the scene exceed a card's VRAM.
