Where would i find the UV map for a figure?

I want to make some changes in Photoshop to a diffuse texture, but I need to be able to see exactly where a part of the texture ends up on the figure. So I'd like to be able to make a layer and paste the UV map on to it to guide me.

Problem is, where would I find the UV map (in an image format that I can paste into Phosotshop)?

Many figures come with a template which you can load up. The majority of content on the store includes links to the templates on the product page. Failing that you'd have to load it into a modeller and 'extract' the UV map using what tools are available. You can view the UV's using Daz Studio as well and take a snapshot using the Clipping Tool. The downside to this approach is that the result will be fairly low resolution and may not be suitable for your needs.

Can you suggest a "modeller" I could try?

    what's the clipping tool?

Humm so don't we get Templates for Gen and Gen 2 etc etc...we did for the Generation 4 figures?

I am pretty sure uvmapper can save as jpgs, I don't have it installed yet so I can check.

It is a little strange, but to get a 'template' type file, just use the Save Texture Map (ctrl-t) option. You'll be able to save it as a bmp image file.
