Relative Space, Fingernails
DAZ 4.12
OK, so I am using a Genesis (1, I guess) figure and I want to make a slider that lengthens the fingernails. I assume I'd use a DFormer, but I can see how adding 20 bones to the rigging would work too.
SO...
I created a DFormer, parented it to Right Thumb 3, and transformed it to <0,0,0>.
It's using world space. Ideally, I would be able to null out it's translation and rotation and it would align with the thumb tip. Is there a way to get it to use relative space rather than world space? I have 20 of these to do and eyeballing it is NOT going to work.
Once that's done, I'd like to do what DAZ did and make a grouped DFFormer so I don't have to set each nail individually.

Not being facecitous here, but there dozens of alread-made morphs which lengthen fingernails out there. Do you not have any of them installed? Also, if you're using DAZ 4.12, why would you be using Genesis 1? G8F is free.
Another recommended way to make morphs is to edit in a 3D program such as blender. There are YouTube tutorials on how to make and import morphs. D-Formers are rather tedious to use in DAZ, to be honest, and are really only useful for some adjustments.
You could use a weight-map rather than the field to control the dForm.
