Make the lights go away

When ever my cursor passes over an object in the scene the object flashes a weird yellow. When I am zipping back and forth it is dizzying and always distracting. Is there a setting to turn this off?

And once we fix the lights can someone help me with the voices...

My voices say that they can't help your voices, but their is a fix to your light problem. I had the same problem earlier this year and Richard Haseltine was kind enough to answer my question:

In the Draw Settings pane (Window>Panes(Tabs)>Draw Settings - you may already have it open but I can't read your reduced resolution screen shot) set the Node Highlighting option to Bounding Box Only

If you want to disable the yellow for just a certain item (say the background), go look for that item in your "Scene" tab and click on the little check mark so it becomes a little cross. That item now won't be selectable in your main window anymore and will also not flash yellow. You can still select the item through the "Scene" tab.

Have your voices call my voices!

  • Thanks for the two good suggestions.

I don't think we should let the voices play together. we might not be able to control what they come up with.
