hello, guy i've used some sales those days to buy all the riversoft/syckeyard cloth converters and while overal they work "fine"(in some cases don't work), my big problem is being with non flat "shoes/boots/high heels, specially high heels, no matter how i try almost all the non flat  shoes ending being converted totally bugged, i've tried everything but they aways ending going wrong

basically any shoes "like this one" will be bugged here's another exemple:

the last one i've ended find a totally different way to fix it by using a tutorial which show how to transfer g3 stuffs to g8, i'ts make "more easy to fix g3" stuffs but when comes to others things like g1 and g2 it's really a nightmare and almost impossible to fix.

any help???

  • I don't have any fixes, but shoes/heels, especially high heels, are infamous for being very difficult to convert. I don't know which RSSY converter you're using but most of the ones I have looked at mention some additional step to make heels conversions better.

There are specific Foot Pose helpers for high heels. There are quite a few threads that talk about these converters, perhaps look in the thread specific to the converter you are using. Here, I did the google-fu for you

To make most high heels work, setting the Use Foot Dialog option and then setting the foot pose during conversion will do it.  The trick is that even though the foot poser dialog is easy to use, finding the right place to put the foot during conversion is not.  Sometimes, putting the foot INSIDE the shoe during conversion is NOT the best option.  For example:

hmm thanks, another thing which i noticed is which due to the g2 and g8 characters being "different" the boots aways ending being "bigger" than the original size like the skull queen boots when you get the original and look to the one "generated you can see how big it's become.

Another note since you are there riversoft, i also had a problem with a "hair from your hair converters,

    https://www.daz3d.com/jazz-hair-for-genesis-3-female-s

the hair g3 converter not work on that hair, it can't even "read it" when you put the direct and file it say it can't find anything.

Another issue which i would like to know if you could help in fix are with some sort of "armors and cloths"(V4 converter) which have a "collar" or evenn big shoulders around the neck, the head ending getting influencing then, something like that:

you know anyway to fixe this???

    From the manual:

Converted Items are too loose on the figure.  The Clothing Converter script morphs the clothing using the clothing conversion conformers.  Occasionally, the conformers make the converted clothing too loose (see Figure 9).  Thankfully, this is easy to fix.  When the clothing items are converted, a lot of helper morphs are added to address fit issues.  The helper morphs are in the Parameters pane, below Actor->Converter Morphs (see Figure 10).  Adjusting the Tighten All morph and turning on Smoothing can fix most issues.  Otherwise, there a lot of additional morphs you can use to tweak the fit.

I don't have that hair.  If you mean that the "Add Directory" button doesn't see it...

The Clothing Converter dialog does not show some clothing items when adding to the list.  The Clothing Converter script automatically filters out all presets that do not have a content type of Follower/Wardrobe.  This is by design to avoid unknown files as this script has been carefully crafted to try and convert clothing without errors as much as possible.  If you are absolutely positive that a file is a clothing item, you can turn off the Check Content Type option and use the Add Files… button to add those files.  If you turn this option off, any file will be added.  On execution, the script will load the file, whatever it is and whatever it does.  The script will still only convert items that are clothing on execution.  Turning this option off is ONLY recommended if you are having trouble getting the script to recognize specific clothing files.

Unfortunately, that one is not something that can be fixed with this product.  The script works by using a conformer to morph the G2 clothing to the G8 shape.  We worked hard to make the different conformers only morph the appropriate places of your clothing items.  However, unavoidably, sometimes a conformer will grab inappropriate places (for example, Loincloth Flaps Bones are grabbing the underwear section too).  It is possible that a different conformer may work better for a particular garment (such as the coat conformer instead of the bodysuit).  Unfortunately, sometimes no conformers will work properly for a specific garment.  There is nothing we can do about it, though we do apologize for the inconvenience.

    hmm thanks,

What i feel it's really weird and a lot, is which all that bugs are "most common, in females, when converting males stuffs is much less problematic(ofcourse this is true when using the "male base body without any morph, when you start to "play with morphs then all converted stuffs start to fall apart and i know it's not your fault or anything like that it's the piece which was not proper made to accept that morphs), it's really weird, about the loincloth you talked yeah i saw that happening here:

that's is why i would love to have "remake" for old content, specially from old V4, while your script overal works fine, in some cases it would be much better if it was really made to work with that figure, specially for area of work.

but keep the good job, as i told the issues are more in some specific "pieces" in the specific places, which make some pieces don't look good as it's looks in the original, but work fine in most of the cases.

Yes, originals will always be better.  If you truly love an outfit and they have a version for G8F (or whatever you want).  You should buy it.  The converters work with most items and is better and more convenient than auto-fit.
