Gift Card Questions
Ok, now I'm trying the gift card thing but I'm running into two problems, one of which I know is my fault.
So, the first card I purchased was for a total of 200$, and I had it sent to my work email (also the email address of my account). Because it was deemed "risky" by the server it was blocked, so I never received it. I opened a helpdesk ticket to have it sent somewhere else, but I see that they aren't open over the weekend and I really don't want to miss this catchup sale.
SO, I decided to do another for 50$, and I had it sent to my Gmail address. It showed up, but now when I enter it (or click on the code link) I get the "wrong gift card number" error, and no other info.
Do I have to open a ticket for this, or does it take some time to "activate" or something? I'm a little frustrated, because I tied up 250 bucks for really no reason, and now I can't access it... any thoughts? Should I open that second ticket, or just wait?

Ok, I even tried changing my email on my account to my gmail one, and no dice. This sucks.
Check your store credit balance, the $50 may already be there. There is no feedback when you successfully redeem the gift card, so you are likely to try again, and a second attempt will give you an error, since it's already been redeemed.
Ah yep! You are exactly right! So, both of these are user error! Ok, I didn't realize credit was the same as gift card, since there's a check balance button.
I guess that for the other one I'll just have to wait. I better change my account back so I don't confuse them. I know it's not their fault, but I do hope they will allow me to re-send that email, it would suck to have just lost that money.
