Adding more samples is resetting the render

For some reason, when I increase max samples in the render window controls, it is starting over at iteration 1. Why would it do that?

what are your other render settings?
And what version of DS are you using?
Is 'bloom filter' on, i've gotten some weirdness with that filter on sometimes.
Using the beta, only filter I ever really have on is the firefly filter. It's been a long time since I had to, but I could have sworn I used to be able to up the samples and resume where left off before. I usually crank samples up by a few zeros before I start the renders, I just forgot that time.
To the best of my recollection, changing the settings on anything in eiher the Progressive Render or the Tone Mapping sections of the Render Settings panel causes the render to restart.
Could be I am not remembering right, I coulda sworn you could just add more samples if it was too noisy and continue where you left off.
It's always reset the entire render as far as I'm aware.
