     Aw... that sucks... sorry.

They should have special community centers where adoptable dogs and cats hang out so people feeling bummed out can get puppy hugs and whatever cats do... let you pet them, I guess.

    Sorry about the buppy.

When a cat loves you, they constantly headbutt you so hard you almost fall out of the chair (or sofa), and make sure to rub their saliva all over you so that every other cat will know whose human you are.

I'm sorry about your buppy, Mystarra.

My friend Misty loves being petted but only when she wants to be petted.  If you do not get that message, she will nip.

Mojavi belonged to my upstairs neighbor.  they would come to my door and bark at me to come out with picnic blanket.  they would sprawl on it, i'd try to fit myself on it.  lol, i would lay down and she'd use my head as a pillow, rest her chin right on my head.

Weren't we supposed to be wearing shiny silver bodysuits, with helmets that had a little antenna on top, like 20 years ago already? And get our food from teleporting dispensers embedded in the wall? But our cars still roll on the ground, and instead of food pills we've got the organic, locally grown, no-bad-ingredients section in the supermarket. I wonder how people in 1920 imagined the world would look like a century later, and if they'd be disappointed, relieved or right out horrified by what it became instead? Maybe a bit of each?

Also, TigerAnne is dumb. TigerAnne unchecked the "Delete package once installed" in the Install Manager. TigerAnne now suspects there are lots of duplicate files on the hard-drive, and that getting rid of half of them would debloat stuff considerably. But TigerAnne has accidentally deleted important stuff before, and has hopefully learned a lesson. TigerAnne prefers speaking in third person when asking a stupid question. What would happen if TigerAnne were to delete all the files in the "Daz3DInstallManager > Downloads" folder?

...I have the Install Manger put the downloaded files on a storage drive as I tend to mess around a bit with product texture files in Gimp and PSP.  This way if I accidentally overwrite the existing texture file (instead of renaming it) I can simply simply reinstall the original version offline mode without having to download it first again.

As to "futuristic" clothing, kind of pleased that that the predictions from the 50s and 60s never came true.  I actually like the fact that old styles often come back in vogue. I'd feel lost during summers without my half closet full of vintage Hawai'ian shirts or get just not feel right during fall and winter without my sweaters scarves and tweed jackets.  I doubt if we will ever really have a "unified" style of clothing for general/casual wear. as you see in many sci-fi programmes, and films.  Definitely relieved the style from  the original Star Trek film, which looked like a spandex union suit sans the trap door, never caught on, On the flip side, I did like the unis from Wrath of Khan, particularly the cut of the jacket which was particularly stylish (looked nice and warm too).

...there are some friends I visit who have a lovely Maine Coon cat which usually is very shy.  However she always comes over to me does the head bump and touches her nose to mine.

Yes, today is tomorrow's past but it is also yesterday's future. The future I was refering to was the one depicted by Daz clothing products. In addition to spandex, it seems that it will be mandatory to have neon or LED lights somewhere on the clothing. Which is strange because if I were to wear spandex, no one would want any lights on.

The only sparkly clothing I have is my aluminum foil hat that protects me from being brainwashed by all those covert lizard people on Earth. Something I picked up from a wise sage: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w-0TEJMJOhk

...I like my old Pendleton wool fedora,  I can scrunch it up and put it in my shoulder bag, pull it out and it pops back into shape.  Keeps the rain off my head and nose and I get a lot of compliments for it in spite of its age.

    BTW happy Caturday.

Spandex and lights are OK for fit, well conditioned bodies, but there comes a point when the impression is not one of fashion or attraction, but rather wonder or amusement.

Back at the end of the last millenium I was a buff biker who wore full leather sportingly well, but once while attending a major leather function at a nightclub in Miami I watched a pair of very overly large twins dressed in matching, very expensive, tightly tailored, full black leather gear walk into the venue ahead of me.  The impression was not of powerful macho, but rather more of an escaped pair of Felix the Cat Thanksgiving Day parade balloons. surprise

i hate the holiday season!  I rather study or relax than do chores related to shopping and parties.  Ugg.  My dad asked me to order some stuff.  But I'm hungry.  So I'm eating lunch at 2 PM!!  So ordering stuff is more important than lunch??  seriously?  same thing happened when he went to get new tires for his SUV.  he didn't stop by a fast food place.  I ended up eating lunch at 3:30 PM at home.  I can't wait to move out of this house.

Complaint:  I hate Microsoft networking.  Arghhh...crying  I've just been through another day and a half of tracking down miscreant Windows10 networking and sharing behavior.  In the process I managed to completely booger up my sister-in-law's computer that had been left with me to care for (lovingly) until such time as they needed it again.  I've been putting it on the net and updateing the OS every month or so.  But the latest update somehow clobbered the sharing mechanism.  I'd been so happy that it at first popped right on to my network and behaved properly in all sharing aspects, then I did the Win10 update and it just stopped even appearing in the network dialog.    Yet I could ping it and it could ping all my other machines, and it could even see and share files from my other machines.  Then I tried to back out of the update to see if I could get things to work again but the system restore failed. Arghhh...  And I had to restore the operating system (saved the login accounts and data though)   But after the rebuild of the Win10 OS the sharing problem persisted. sad

So, with yet another challenge I rose to the occasion and did some testing and much more Internet research and came across all sorts of complex boogerizations that Microsoft has been upto in their attempts to make networking work properly.  Features that have changed yet don't get automatically fixed during the update.  Configurations that need to be checked because updates don't always make the correct choice.  And configurations that look correct but aren't and the administrator needs to actually remove a Windows feature, then reinstal it before the configuration will take effect.

I don't know how in h*** Microsoft expects the home user with a desktop, laptop and/or tablet to actually setup and maintain a fully functional household network with back and forth sharing of homework, movies and music the way the advertisements brag are possible.  I'm a professional networking guru (or at least I was when in my prime) and I have hard time figuring out just what's working and which document or helpful authority to believe.  Arghhh.... (without the proper diagnostic tools) it's dark magic.angry

Non-complaint:  I was eventually able to fix my SIL's networking issue by uninstalling and reinstalling the "SMB client" Windows feature.  (*sigh, go figure*)

Complaint:  In the process of the boogered update that required rebuilding the Win10 OS on my SIL's computer it refused to install a driver for the audio device.  It's an old computer that originally came with Win8.1.  I tried to get a new driver from HP but HP doesn't even provide a working driver for the autiod device for Win10.   And Windows driver update tool doesn't find one either.  So, no audio. indecision

(Yeah, I know, lots of typos and spelling erros.  Suck it up.  I'm to mad to care. cheeky)

It's obvious, it's an over exposed image of a white cat in the snow.

In that situation, I think a simple "Hi!" would be good enough!  That is the reason I don't post more...can't think of anything to say, or at least not anything that's worthwhile saying.

"The world will little note, nor long remember what we say here, but it can never forget what they did here. It is for us the living, rather, to be dedicated here to the unfinished work which they who fought here have thus far so nobly advanced. It is rather for us to be here dedicated to the great task remaining before us—..."  --- A. Lincoln

Music to DAZ by:  One of the few pieces by Bach that I don't get terminally bored by.  This song always fascinates me regardless of the instrument.  But this one particularly so because of the delicacy of touch and full special sound that only a harp in the hands of a expert can achieve.  One of the pieces of music that are easy to "surf" the music as it rushes along and anticipate its movement.

J.C. Bach; "Toccata and Fugue in D minor",  performed by Sofia Kiprskaya https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jzR2429G7cY

Ah, retirement...  Just keep asking yourself; is the discount at the movies worth the aches & pains of ancienthood?
