Gradient for a whole figure's coloration

I can do this in photoshop with a lot of masking, but is there a way to make a smooth continuous gradient of color over a whole figure's rendered surface in Daz, e.g. mr. genesis8 bluish at his feet and reddish at his head with shades of purple in between? Not sure what color the arms and hands would be.

If you're talking about just the skin, as opposed to a costume, it can easily be done with Zev0's Skin Builder products, though it's currently only for female characters.  Beyond that, you could probably do something using custom-tinted LIEs, Iray Decals or a geo-shel, but I don't know of any off-the-shelf products.

  • There are some shader presets that are color gradients but they're not skin.  However you're going to have an issue. Genesis figures have lots of surfaces and simply applying such a shader means the gradient runs across that surface not the figure as a whole.

I think either a decal or something like skin builder would have the best chance of working.

That's why I'm asking the question, because of the segmentation of the various parts of the body, I couldn't think of a way around that. I'll look at the skin builder items and maybe a geo shell would work. Thanks guys.
