Wow - I own every single item in the staff picks bundle, so DAZ sent me a purple bar offer to get... 80% off the entire thing. Um... Okay, so they want me to send them money for stuff I already own? Exactly how is this supposed to be a good offer?

I got 60% off $31.35 ($48.17 Australian) have 8 of the products don't have Perrin Hair,Angels Secrets, killer Legs. Tactical Assualt. IG 100 must have poses
that stuff ok few things been interested in but out of my budget think several of them had better deals before
Was missing 2 out of 13 items, so I got the 80% banner as well. The remaining 2 were on my wishlist, and, after some calculations, I figured that $16 for the Multi Dress and IG100 poses AND 2 free Daz Originals was an okay enough deal.
Only drawback: there's also another coupon today, for PC, which would be a better coupon in general if it wasn't for the Staff Picks Bundle. So I'm now still contemplating whether to use the PC coupon seperately.
I've got four of the items and got a 30% discount banner. Considering that you already can ge an extra 20% off using a separate coupon, it doesn't feel like much of a deal.
Your fault for being impatient and ordering before the sale. Use your prescient powers more thoughtfully next time.

It isn't a problem for me because I have them all, but you also have the issue of buying the bundle gives you a discount on other items but there is a 20% off everything coupon that you can't use with that 80% off coupon. So essentially I have to ignore the Staff Pics part of the sale.
I mean, you can technically use the 20% off to get a gift card for store credit, then stack it with the purple banner.
This bundle is a great deal IN THEORY, and I appreciate the IDEA of the coupon for already owning items in the bundle, but as it is....eh. I want less than half the items that I don’t already own, and I’d be much better off just buying those items than the bundle, even at 30% off.
Edit: I would be much more interested in the bundle if it were presented as being more a la carte. Say, pick one base character and HD add-on, two clothing items, two hairs, two morphs, and two props/poses. Even if the selection of these items were limited, it would be a much more attractive proposition than what’s on offer right now.
Haha, at least you guys got something. I only own V8 and her HD add-on, and for me Daz is offering a whopping 10% purple banner. It's nice and all, and I appreciate all and every discount offer I can get, but the normal 20% off for PC+ members is much better option. Makes me wonder if Daz marketing is aware that we can only use 1 coupon per order, or has that been changed recently?

I got a coupon today & I can not use. when i click the bundle items it appears I actually own every one of item offered . so then the coupon goes on and says because i own one or more of the items offered in the bundle I can get a discount for the other content in the bundle offer.. * Huh! confused look! I just stated I already bought all those items in the past..lol its a really great offer truly it is for those that have not already bought the content offered in the bundle . I am reckoning I spend way to much at daz.
So what else you got?
Unfortunately this offer isn't good for me. That doesn't make it a bad offer. It's just not for me. Every offer doesn't work for me. That's okay. My wallet needs a break.
Yeah, his is a situation I find myself in increasingly as of late, as the sales often seem to promote either the same batch of best-sellingr PA items... which I'm highly likely to already have becasue they're best-selling items, or DAZ originals, where I'm highly likely to own them since I own over 3/4 of the DO items in the entire store... I actually got so sick of not being able to have to scrounge for ANYTHING that I'm interested in in the free sections, assuming I'm offered anything at all, and being unable to use the "get a free pro bundle" when you buy X promotions they seem to run with every new figure release, that lately I've intentionally NOT been buying things that I would have bought otherwise as a result.
I often wonder if the people in DAZ marketing have ever even actually used the products, period, let alone tried to navigate the mess their convoluted sales usually make of the store. :/

Well, many people already having most, if not all, parts of the bundle does imply that it's actually a pretty good bundle with fairly useful stuff.
On the other hand, in the Netherlands we have something called a "winkeldochter", the litteral translation would be "store daughter". In Germany they have a similar thing called a "Ladenhüter". There isn't really an English word for it that I know of, but they're basically items that just won't sell. These aren't necessarily bad items, just usually things that were outdated so short after their release due to either technology or fashion changes, that they seem to stay on the shelf like.. forever.
So, for a future sale, I think it might be interesting if PA's picked the slowest selling products of the past two years, and bundled those up for a sale. I don't think any of those products could be considered bad in any way. But more probably, customers do have limited budgets, and something else took priority, they either did or didn't add it to their wishlist (my wishlist count is 1876, I wouldn't even know exactly what was on there without looking..), but then forgot about it.. By all means, explain what the sale is and how the odd-ball choice of products was put together for fun!
Great. Now the Bundle has lost all discounts, making it more expensive than the individual parts I didn't have, even with the extra discount.
Edit: Just a temporary glitch. After computing again, and with 20% coupon, still slightly over the price of the individual items, but the 2 free items are worth the difference.
LOL, I thought, given the price of the bundle I was being offered, lack of PC+ membership, and the 10% off banner, that the whole bundle looked more like a price markup to me.

It may or may not be, but patience is certainly a way of saving cash; as ever, wait long enough and items always come cheaper.
Seems odd though that you get a banner to buy something you own. Someone forgot a check in the script I expect.
AHH... So i spend $78 to get an extra 20% off new releases? Too bad i own most of the staff picke like MOST loyal buyers here. Guess everything can't be done to reward people who buy regularly. They need to do what another site i buy from does and run an algorithm to remove what you already own and adjust the price of the bundle.
I think you can mention the name CGBytes... better known for it's "adult" subsection Renderotica. It would be really nice to have that option, and the way they figure out the credit seems like a very reasonable compromise to me ie: CGB doesn't credit you for the whole amount that you paid originally againt the new bundle purchase, but they DO credit you the percentage of the total bundle price the item(s) you have account for.
Yea, but if everyone did that, DAZ could probably not afford to make such offers. What you lose on the swings you gain on the roundabouts.
Except that I can see how that would kind of defeat the purpose of the bundle from DAZ's point of view. The idea is to entice you to spend a bigger chunk of change up front by packaging the new figure with a bunch of other product that are either really cheap to produce and/or are also designed to attract additional sales by being upgraded - hence the reason most of the outfits only come with one texture set and the HD sets are usually not included. Realistically, how many people would normally pick up the pose sets, which are the biggest filler items, or half of the outfits if they didn't have to? And then there's the question of how one would account for the difference between how much item costs when divided into the cost of a pro bundle versus with a starter bundle?
That would be everything they offered in the $2.99 category. There was not even one item there that I needed or wanted.
Going by the last few years, I'm not really expecting anything from DAZ on Black Friday or Cyber Monday that will surpass the kind of cfazy deals that we just saw during the last two sales. It would be nice to be proved wrong, but can you imagine the kind of price protection they've be paying if everyone who bought something at 69% off since 2 days before Halloween suddenly asked for a partial refund on the day after Thanksgiving? As it is, I'm kind of wondering what's going to happen with Rendo this year, as traditionally they've run a massive half-off sale for their entire store post TG. This year, though, they've been running a constant series of vendor sales at much higher discounts for several months, so I'm not sure how much excitement that would generate.
