from Genesis to Genesis 8 and beyond.

I buy a lot of content. How mcuh gets used? 1% maybe? I know this is talked about often, but my goal now is to use, EVERY daz product in a render ... not all in one render but to use every product ...
Is that even possible?

But, only from Genesis .. If i start with V/M1 and 2 I will for sure croak a long time before I even get to the Genesis eras.

    Have fun! yes

everytime I buy something I load it up and play with it and render it to see how it looks and to get ideas on what to create with it. I also started being very selective of what I buy about a year ago since i used to see something i thought looked cool, but then found i couldn't find a use for it in a scene. Now that i have a pretty firm grasp of the types of scenes I like to render, I shop with that in mind.

Perfectly describes my approach too. I also try to estimate how much impact a product will have in terms of VRAM.

  • I know that feeling. When buying content becomes the hobby.... Also when you realize that you have to buy equivalents to everything in the real world too - virtual water, virtual food, virtual sky,, virtual ground, etc.

Genesis is light. I've had up to 18 G1 figures in a scene and had no trouble rendering it. The largest number of gen4 figures I ever managed to render was 5. And usually had to drop down to 4 or even 3 before it would render.

Admittedly that was in DS 3 which was only 32-bit. But still...

Consider the RRRR render challenges in the Art Studio forum, if you haven't before.

Just randomly pick 4 items of content from your runtimes and render a scene related to the theme.

I had a blast putting 6 generations of figures into a single scene for a product promo. Finding skins that all looked like they came from the same planet was a challenge!

Have fun rendering! When I started with daz and purchased my first products I thought I will only buy stuff I will render immediately. It worked for a while ... and now I have maybe 10 or more environment sets that I haven't rendered yet.

And what did I do during the 60% sales? I discovered a new amazing PA I didn't know before ... and bought 4 more sets. I slapped myself.
