A Gentleman's Wardrobe for Michael 6 VS A Gentleman's Wardrobe ??
Two questions:
#1 -- What is the difference between "A Gentleman's Wardrobe for Michael 6" compared to "A Gentleman's Wardrobe?"
http://www.daz3d.com/a-gentleman-s-wardrobe-for-michael-6
http://www.daz3d.com/new-releases/a-gentleman-s-wardrobe
#2 -- Is Michael 6 considered Genesis 1?
Thanks!

not sure but the description states
and no M6 is for the Genesis 2 Male base
Could they make it any more confusing?
Thanks
LOL you are not alone. :)
I know :-P
So, if I buy the "A Gentleman's Wardrobe for Michael 6" I don't need to buy the other set?
I hope someone from DAZ reads this and responds
It's very confusing
From what I gathered, the main feature of each set is the additional clothing fits for each character (and their poses).
thanks but I doubt I'll buy both sets
And adding another set for Teen Jayden does not really clarify the issue. Isn't the point of Genesis to have the clothing fit different Genesis characters? Or is this just because the included draped poses are different?
Hi everyone.......hopefully I can clear things up for you re: A Gentleman's Wardrobe sets..............
Each set offers unique draping/pose morphs for the poses that are included with the individual characters......this allows you to fit the clothing with natural looking folds etc. to those poses.......each set does also offer FBMs for M6 and Teen Jayden so with a bit of tweaking and smoothing adjustments the morphs can be used across the characters as well, for example you can use some if not all the morphs corresponding to Teen Jaydens poses on M6.
It wasn't my original plan to release full version sets for each character......rather I intended to offer draping/ pose matching morphs for the different pose sets as expansion packs, much in the same way as you can buy different textures for a dress. I felt it was a good idea to offer
this......there are so many great pose sets available that it would be cool to have draping morphs for!
However DAZ has declined the Morph Expansion packs I submitted, and only reluctantly allowed me to offer these as full products with deep discounts for owners of the original Gentleman's Wardrobe set. They will not accept any further sets of this type unfortunately......unless of course these sets sell very well..........
The entire premise of the items I make for sale here on DAZ is a highly realistic appearance with just a super easy and quick slide of a dial. So if you have "A Gentleman's Wardrobe" or plan on buying it in the future, please consider picking it up now along with the other 2 character sets.......lol....... the price is certainly right!
Exactly......each set is a stand alone product........but.........it is a great price for each additional set......lol
Yes this is right.
The difference is in the pose matching morphs for each character.
Thanks for the clarification, which I think was needed.
I figured out what was going on from the product description and picked up both sets. As you said, the price is right.
However, I am totally bemused by DAZ's reluctance to allow the morph packs to be sold on their own. surely the logic must be that the more clothing options you offer for a character, the more likely it will be that the character will become more popular? Doesn't that translate into more sales?
I don't know, honestly. Year of the Horse? More like Year of the Donkey.
First of all, thank you, Aave Nainen, for the effort you put into creating these morphs. I applaud you for your thoughtfulness. The morphs look great, and it makes your product more appealing to use. I especially love the "seperately folding jacket" morphs, which allow you to place a folded jacket over chars, shoulders, and elsewhere. This feature alone made your product a no-brainer for buying. :-)
I agree with acansis.
I think that the clothes-poses morhing packs are a great idea, i.e. considering how many poses there are that have me cursing when it comes to the clothing bending in unnatural ways.
Of course, you can use deformers and whatever, but it's a complicated thing to use. If DAZ is aiming at the "uneducated crowds", who want to use content, and poses/morphes to easily get the desired result, then there should be more of these clothing-poses morph sets available, not the other way around.
Of course, one can debate that a PA ought to release such morphs with the initial release of the product, but new pose packs are sold all the time at any point after the initial release of a product, and then the clothing should still fit, IMO. Otherwise, why sell, for example, Jay 6 and Michael 6 specific poses, after the release of the "general G2M" poses?
Just my two cents.

I thought this was gong to be a great sale on these items but.... because the gentlemen's wardrobe is NEW it doesn't apply for the discounts , I put both a gentlemans wardrobe and the new for M6 in my cart and first one wtill at 34.95, M6 one discount make it 20.97, 55.92 for just those 2 items?? and yes I also have 2 other new releases in my cart. Needless 2 say won't be getting this at the moment :(
Hi Kharma!...........
I wonder if it might be worth your while to get the Teen Jayden at 30% off (new product launch discount).........then you should be able to get the M6 version at 50% off and another 30% off that. (at least I hope it's set up to do that) The original set is of course no longer at the 30% launch discount but I'm sure will be on sale again sometime.
You're welcome, and thank you for the support!
Hi Aave :) I will test that in my cart and cross my fingers, otherwise will have to wait for another sale. I did get your MF fairytales dress - couldn't resist! I am a huge fan of your products ... so easy to use. I hope DAZ reconsiders the option of just the morph/pose expansion packs they would be awesome to have :)
Just tested cart if you get both J6 and M6 wardrobes they are 20.97 each , no other discounts :(

Oh that's too bad..........I had hoped it would be set up to do the discount no matter which other GW set you had.........maybe would have to be showing as a prior purchase.
As for Morph Expansion Packs for any of my creations.......I am in the process of setting up a website to make Expansion Sets available. Once I have that up and running I will put the link to website in my signature line. For now I will only be offering expansion packs, the main products will continue to be marketed exclusively with DAZ.
With so many great pose sets available I'm really keen on making morphs available for as many sets as I can!
The wording for both the Michael 6 and Jayden 6 products would seem to suggest that:
This should be clarified. If you cannot get 50% off one if you own the other the product description should be reworded.
Why is all of this reminiscent of outfit for M3, outfit for H3 and outfit for D3? Instead of paying a single price for one outfit that fits all three figures we seem to be back to the buy one outfit that fits one figure. Or am I missing something?
The wording for both the Michael 6 and Jayden 6 products would seem to suggest that:
People who already own the original are getting the 50% off. What I'm suggesting is this: If you have it in your cart but don't actually own it yet.......it's not going to give you the 50%.........
I have no way of testing if it will give you the discount if you make 2 separate purchases.........ie purchase the M6 version while it's at 30% Off introductory price, then go back and buy the Teen Jayden and/or the G2Male (original) version and get the 50% off.
If anyone has done this and would care to share the results it would be appreciated!
The Full Body Morphs are in all sets so that any one of them will fit G2Male, M6 and Teen Jayden..........it's the morphs that match specific poses that are unique in each set.
People who already own the original are getting the 50% off. What I'm suggesting is this: If you have it in your cart but don't actually own it yet.......it's not going to give you the 50%.........
But you need to have everything in your cart to qualify for the discounts.
I'm extremely perplexed by all this - sorry but I really baulk at buying something 3 times, if Daz don't want to sell just the morph packs perhaps you could consider selling them somewhere else.

It is definitely confusing, it certainly would have been my preference to sell as morph expansion packs. As mentioned in a previous post I am in the process of setting up a website to do exactly that.
Apart from that the three sets are together much too expensive ... why have the guys always no socks??? Maybe a seperate set for extra money?
Aave Nainen thank you for you explanations.
I decided to give the suit a miss this time, but did pick up the Possibilities 2PC Dress for Genesis 2 Female and Victoria 6, only I've got a problem I know its something I'm doing and wondered if you or some one else could tell me where I'm going wrong.
Thank you.
See screen shot, how do I get the front smooth
I'm happy to see you decided to get one of my sets! The stuff I make takes a unique approach to shaping that makes it super easy to get that almost real look.
Here's is a link to the You Tube video I made for my first outfit to demonstrate how to get that beautiful draping!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DU-NkIzRYWw
The method applies to all of the sets I make.......truly it is such fun using those morphing dials it can be hard at times for me to get any work done......I get side-tracked with playing :)
Thank you I watched the video and unfortunately it doesn't help at all, not once in your video do I see your skirt stretch in the front as mine has, you even mention that this product avoids stretching the UVs badly.
I guess this was made differently to the one in the video, although one of the promos shows a pose with the legs apart I am unable to get anything acceptable.
Are you applying the morphs after posing? As far as I know these sets make heavy use of frozen dynamic draping (or hand-sculpting to produce a convincing drape) so if you just pose they won't look so good.
Yes I was doing that, after fiddling with it a lot more I've realised that for the preset poses that come with Genesis and V6 it works great but its difficult to match any own done or other poses.
And to be honest I find it nearly as time consuming as any other long skirts I have to get to look right as you have to find a similar corresponding morph and try and work from there.
