This product displays both these items in the product photos, yet loads without the geometry for either.

Just a buyer beware.

These items could load as separate props instead of with the vehicle itself - have you checked in the Props category for them? I have several vehicle figures that are set up this way. Both are listed in what's included, so I hope they're part of the package.

This product does not have DS-specific materials. Never just rely on the pictures, look at the description and what's included. The lights are mostly part of the materials and you'll have to do those manually in studio (probably adjusting ambient levels).

This Is at the bottom of the description:

"Materials May Need Slight Adjustment In Daz Studio"

The lights are probably just props that you add on though.

The Nemesis uses geometry switching for these. Under the scene tab there should be body parts named Pol_Lights, Bull_Front and Bull_Rear. If you select any of these, then on the parameter tab under General, there's a parameter called either Change_Light or Change_Part, select the option in the drop-down box that isn't Default Shape and bull bars and lights should switch on.

    I will try that...

I could see the parts listed in scene, but when I hovered over the location in the viewport I did not see it...

The translation tool would switch to the location but there was nothing there.

    Thanks guys!

I've never had a product that used that method.

Never would've figured that out.  Thank you.

I converted the Police model to IRAY and it looks awesome.

Older than that, actually - it's based on how Poser would turn the genitals on and off on the male figures. There used to be a "Changing Fantasy Suit" for M1/2 and V 1/2. :D

  • It looks like a cool car, but how do we change materials to get the other looks in Daz Studio?

Can you be more specific?  The car loads without the Police stuff.  It has several default textures, 2 police and several regular oned.  The textures are 3Delight but the car has a lot of surfaces (surface tab) that can be converted to IRAY.  If you have IRAY car paint textures, they can be applied easily.

  • OK.  I will try again.

When I checked the surfaces tab, I couldn't find them

This certainly doesn't work like most modern models, but it is really nice.  If I can get it to look like I want, this could be one of my Hero Cars.  :)

Make sure you have the car hightlighted in the top right hand window (assuming you are still using the default layout) before clicking on the Surface tab.
