Help Wanted: Step Van 2 Zombie Hunter Texture Conversion

Is anyone that owns the Step Van: Zombie Hunter willing to assist me with a texture list of the material files used in the Zombie Hunter (https://www.daz3d.com/step-van-zombie-hunter) so that i can apply them to the Step Van (https://www.daz3d.com/step-van)?  The version of DS i use, doesnt support the Zombie Hunter product, but does support the regular Step Van.  Ive purchased both so i can manually apply the textures from one to the other, its just that its a guessing game as to which textures are used for the Zombie Hunter.

Any & All assistance is appreciated!

    I don't have the Zombie Hunter, and it looks like a lot of textures are in there. You can kind of tell by the name what goes wear. What part of the Zombie Hunter doesn't work in your version of DS? Do all the props load?

    Are there textures from both sets in the Zombie Hunter?

    No.  Basically a list of the surface tab for the Zombie Hunter and the corresponding map applied to it.

    No. Nothing will load.  I use a version of DS that pre-dates DSF/DUF files.  And no, they each have their own files, but it appears they are organized and mapped the same.  So i can basically take a map from Zombie Hunter and apply it to the same mat zone in the step van.

    As for the props, i plan to convert them to objs using the DSF Toolbox.  Mapping that should be a lot simpler, but ill have to worry about that after i get the base of Zombie Hunter conerted.

  • That's a lot of material zones.  I'm looking at both now.  For the most part, the zones are numbered and the textures have a number in them that matches.  The zones match across vans, except the old van stops at 19 and the zombie van continues to 28.

    The zombie van is Iray and the old van is not, so you'll have to handle that too.

    10: Glass - keep a 3dl glass setting

    12:  Inside roof uses MetalBare21, Roof & Roof Panel use MetalBare18, RoofFrontEdge uses MetalBare16

    15: Uses a mix of InteriorWalls01 and various MetalBare

    17: InteriorWalls01

    2: CabConcole is more InteriorWalls01

    4: CabWalls is more InteriorWalls01

    5: Mix of MetalBare18 and 16, but the GrillBack is StepVanZombie_5

    8: VentsCabDash & VentsCabWall are more InteriorWalls01

    That can hopefully give you some starting points.

    im only interested in the van textures at the moment.  None of the props.  Ive converted a lot of them, but im kinda stuck on a few.  Can you help me out?

    I dont have a MetalBare16 or 18 in the textures folder...  Are you sure those are the correct names?
    I think most of the rest i got.  And as it would have it... Its the 12 & 15 groupings that got me stumped.  I wonder if my download is missing some files.

    Ahhhh... the Metalbare textures were in a separate folder.

    @thistledownsname can you help with the 16 grouping?  In particularly the rear doors?

    Gave that a go.  The 3dL material preset from the zombie van can be applied directly to the step van.

    Group 16 is all the running lights.

    Not perfect, but a lil bit of assistance from the forum, a lil kit-bashing, and its a decent copy.  Im pleased with the progress thus far.  Thanks everyone for the assistance and a special thanks to @thistledownsname!  Couldnt have gotten this far, this fast without your assistance.
