I'm assuming, since it doesn't say anything, that it isn't Iray. I may be wrong though, but that's what I assume :)
I'd have assumed the opposite, as Iray has become the default, by and large. But it is not clear.
Lol interesting! I'd say those promos are 3DL renders. Can't see that typical pathtracing noise on dark areas;) Some other clues: Where's the shiny stuff and the emissives? There are no metallicity- or roughness maps included.
I would say 3Delight since the materials DO NOT list Iray option and it's rendering dark in Iray.
Made more interesting that- there is nothing called a light that I can find. In the promos, I can see the light being reflected, but I see no actual source.
None of the wall plates or ceiling plates, in surfaces, says light or glass or....
So I think there is some 3Delight ambient light trickery going on. lol

I guess for Iray, I'm going to have to pick some object and make it an emissive light.
No, no it seems the ceiling piece has a 'conduit' and that has emissive properties- and that is supplying some light.
A better place to look than the library would be what shader(s) are listed at the top of the surfaces tab; that will positively tell you what's being used, whereas the library category could just be a mistake with the product's metadata.
Hmmm...never did that before. It says Daz Studio Default and Iray Uber.
You mean like this?
Well, "Daz Studio Default" isn't some fancy custom shader, so it should auto-convert on rendering in Iray, so I don't know why it'd be rendering dark. (Although I don't know how "dark" dark is from what you said).
I'd open a customer service ticket on this one; in whatever case, a product shouldn't really be released using a mix of Iray and non-Iray shader types. (And if it's supposed to be non-Iray, that's unusual enough now that it should be mentioned on the product page).
I'm pretty sure the default is 3DL since it has the "plastic" option. Some of the other surfaces on the model say Iray Uber? That would be strange to have a mix of the two on the same model.
Could it be because I have my rendering engine set to Iray and it does a conversion?
Don't use my stuff as the besty example. I don't use 3Delight and have no idea what my settings should be.
This was my iray attempt.
And this was the default 3Delight. I didn't assign any materials, I only loaded the single, default SET and hit render.
Promo renders look like the results I get using Ghost Lights.
