Installed content does not exist

I recently purchased Catgirl for G8 and the add-on Foxy lady for G8 for a FFXIV project I'm working on. I first tried to install using install manager, then I tried to install manually. The attachments load fine, no issues there. However, when I attempt to morph them or apply mats, I receive the following log error:

2019-10-21 11:45:22.164 Error reading file, see log for more details.
2019-10-21 11:52:13.213 WARNING: ..\..\..\..\..\src\sdksource\cloud\dzcloudtasknotifier.cpp(178): peer performed orderly shutdown errno=0
2019-10-21 11:52:34.416 Invalid hierarchy for selected node(s) and "preset_hierarchical_material" type; no root(s) found.
2019-10-21 11:52:34.416 Error reading file, see log for more details.

Now when I go to browse file locations, everything it tells me isn't there, is right there in the folder. The textures, templates, everything is where it should be upon browsing the folders.

I've unininstalled and reinstalled probably 15 times. I've shut down daz. Reimported Metadata. Etc.

This is not the only item I'm having issues with, I keep having to right click uninstall and reinstall several things because even installed daz says they don't exist. However, THOSE items work fine after reinstall, these two do not.

To note, daz is not on my C drive as my C drive is a solid state drive. It exists on my hard drive which is D. I have successfully and correctly changed ALL installation paths to D drive following the information given in a tutorial from this website. There is no option to install Daz on my C drive, as it is not large enough to handle the program and its add-ons.

The ear material preset highlighted in your attached image says it is a Hierarchical Material preset - I think you need to have the parent selected in the scene (i.e. the G8F figure to which the ears are attached) for the preset to work.

  • Are you using them on Genesis 8 Female or have you used them on another figure?

  • Yes. I even created an entire new G8 model and the ears load fine, it's when I try to apply mats that I receive:

The ears load, they attach, the model is there, it's when I apply mats that I get the error messages.

  • I've uninstalled and reinstalled MULTIPLE times. When I browse, the files are right there, I can see them in the folder. When I try to use them however, nothing, log errors.

Apparently I needed to uninstall and reinstall one more time...... (16 total) for it to magically start working.

Good to know after a 4 year hiatus from Daz due to my computer crap, that some things, never change
