Seeking Prize Donations for the Annual It's Raining Men Contest!

Hello everyone! I'm gearing up to start the It's Raining Men Contest this year.

For those who don't know, the It's Raining Men Contest has become an annual event that happens every November in the Daz3d forums. It first ran in November 2015 thanks to the forum Mods based on community posts about the lack of men's clothing. It was a wildly successful contest which garnered 140 entries. The following year, I stepped up to run it again and have run it each year since. It's been great fun watching the forum create artwork focusing on the male figures. We have such a creative bunch of people here.

For anyone new or not familiar with the contest, I've included all the links to the previous contests and entry threads for the previous four years at the bottom of this post. I've also included last year's list of categories. Take a look and prepare to be inspired. There are a lot of really amazing pieces in those links. :)

What needs to happen right now? I'm now taking donations for the contest prize packages. While I step in to run this contest each year, it's the people in this forum and the wonderful vendors who step up each year to make this contest the success it is. There would be no contest without all of you.

If you are a forum member, you can donate a Daz Gift Card to the prize pool if you wish. I take donations in any amount and fit them in where needed for the various prize categories. If you are a vendor, you can donate from your shop. If you've never donated before, I try to make the whole process as easy as possible.

Please post here or PM me, @Knittingmommy, if you have any questions or wish to make a donation. I'm looking forward to seeing this contest take flight again this year. Let's make this year the best contest year yet!

    We've gotten a couple of prize donations which is a good start. Thank you to the donors who have already stepped up. If you'd like to donate, but aren't sure of the process, PM me. I'll walk you through it. Any amount is accepted, large or small. Don't be shy. Let's make this year the best It's Raining Men Contest yet. The contest starts November 1. Let's see what we can rally up for prizes before then. Thank you.

    It's looks like we're starting to get a nice set of prize packages together for this year's contest. Thank you to everyone who has volunteered to donate. As always, there's still room for more donations. Each one is greatly appreciated.

    Only a few days left before It's Raining Men starts.This is a Daz 3d sponsored contest again with prizes from Daz 3d. This is a great contest to for beginners to advanced renderers. Prizes have already been donated from both vendors and forum members, but we could definitely use more. If you'd like to donate a prize, no matter how small, vendor or forum member, please PM @Knittingmommy to find out how.

    I have one Christmas render I've done but not posted so I'll enter it in the contest. Well maybe I'll re-render with lighting from the Render Studio 2.0 set by Colm Jackson. I'll wait for December to see how much my budget can stand to donate to the prizes as I'm trying to save to buy Marvelous Designer (which if it doesn't go on sale these Black Friday Holiday season for the 1st time in a few years I'll be really disappointed but oh well.)

    I'd like to remind everyone that only renders done within the time frame of the contest can be entered. So @nonesuch00, rerender that sucker after November 1 with that light set and you should be good to go! :) 

    I'll be taking donations for prizes right up until the last day of the contest so there's still time for more donations.

    The It's Raining Men Contest 2019 has officially started. I'm a little late, but I've got the Post up in the Art Studio. I'm setting up the part of the post with the prize package so I'll have that up soon. So, check out the Art Studio and get those renders ready! You've got until the end of December to wow us all with renders of men! :)
