Acquired a new windows 10 PC and decided to have a look at the latest Daz studio
(4.12) so here is my complaint.....
this guy is not very handsome ...

Other than that .. nice release Daz.![]()
Seriously though Not even going to attempt a full content migration
from my old win7 PC in the near future, however I plan to keep this install lean
and bare bones only to be used for Genesis 8 commercial motion file product development using Iclone pro ,Endorphin and Daz studio.
Side note also finally getting to expolore Blender 2.8.....really great.

Not to steal the wind from your sails, but that is only the default splash image - you can use a more text-based alternative if you prefer.
Press F2, go to Interface and change the splash screen there.
I also had to do that because I can't look at this
Completed my 1st tutorial for Blender 2.8. So far so good.
The Alternative ;-)

Guys... I know about the alternate splash screens... just having a bit of fun.
To be brutally honest I prefer to have this little alien character "splash up" when loading Daz studio in "Mixed company" other than some stereotypical ,scantily clad...blah.. blah (we know the rest)
The combined graph editor dope sheet is not bad, however I wish the key indicators were still square as that makes marquee selecting with a densely packed parameters more accurate.
But at least the keyframe culling script from Mcasual still works.
Indeed I am overhauling my pipeline after my film is released this winter
look like blender may become a major addition to my new set up.
If you are not going to render more than one frame on a non RTX Nvidia graphics card, 4.12 is perfectly ok
my impossible to do on 4.12 scene rendered all 300 frames in 2 hours on 4.11 I got from Zendesk today
I never actually complained about its release just the inability to roll back using DIM as you don't get installers
as I said bugs happen one can report them but one needs to also be able to go back to a version that worked for them
Blender 2.8 is indeed awesome :)
(and I kinda like the little alien guy....lol)

He's also on the 4.11 splash screen, although he has human company there.
I could render more than one frame in DAZ Studio 4.12 using the iRay renderer but I rendered in a series of iRay images rather than DAZ Studio make my moving picture in advance.
Hope you enjoy DAZ Studio 4.12 / Blender 2.80. I think you will.
