Face Transfer - flat mouth?

Everything in the face transfer addon looks great except for one thing.. none of the promotional images show the results from a 3/4 or profile.. why is that?  I'm finding that the result has a flat mouth area with no lips. Is anyone else getting this? Am i doing something wrong?
