How to make a TV in a somewhat dark room look like it's playing?

How to make a TV in a somewhat dark room look like it's playing? I've turned emmisive on at 6500K, make the light emmisive color very slightly light blue, and the TV model already has a b&w pixture on an old baseball game on the screen but the render just looks like a dim TV set without a picture playing.
