why is it taking an hour to update my genesis essentials?

DS 4.12 said there were some updates to products. I trting to update Genesis Essentials..its been going for at least 45 minites and is nwo on 91% ... and still. its been from 87-91 nearly 20 minutes. 
whats up with that?

Can i stop it and have it continue where left off?

    Are you using DIM? If so, yes, it will pick up where it left off.

    I don't know about manual downloads. It may depend on your browser, but I suspect you'll have to start over.

    It's pretty common for downloads to be slow when there is a big sale going on, or a new version of Daz Studio is released. Bandwidths are finite, so the more people downloading at one time, the less bandwidth any one file will get. My cable speeds are "up to" 175Mb, but last night, I was seeing dial-up speeds on my purchases.

    If you're using DIM, go ahead and stop the download, wait awhile and try again.

    Usin DS ... the icon in the smart content indicates an update is available. Its just the genesis that is slow..other characters dl in a very short time.

    interesting..started it again ... downoaded to 86% in a  minute, now atuck there. i will try in DIM

    something funky going on ... now it is lagging ven doing the install ... I uninstalled it, deleted it from DIM ...then redownloaded and installed. None of my products are actually "installing". the install icon is there..so I right click, choose install...it is hangin at 87%. Not sure what's up ... might be a bug in 4.12

    I never warmed up to Daz Connect. I know next to nothing about it. Sorry.
