Switching versions

I should know this, having updated countless times since I started using DAZ Studio, but I'm really not sure of the answer. I tried to download 4.12 earlier but there is a problem with the servers so DIM doesn't work for me. Anyhow, I continued working in a project started in 4.11 and wondered whether I'll be able to continue in 4.12 without experiencing issues. So please remind me - should I load my scene in 4.12 and save it in 4.12? And, if I do that, would it still be ok to load it into 4.11 if I find there are bugs in 4.12?

Well, if the 4.12 beta is the same as the General Release, it looks like the switch back froma saved 4.12 scene to a 4.11 scene works. I only tried it with a scene originally created in 4.11 and saved in 4.12 though, not one entirely created in 4.12 and loaded into 4.11.

I have just had a crash after loading a scene from a previous version. Just normal viewport activity and suddenly the crash report appeared on my screen. So I'm taking the precation of loading older scenes and immediately saving them in 4.12, closing DAZ Studio then reopen and load the saved scene. I hope this avoids further crashes.

...this is why I stick with the beta for a little longer as sometimes in the full release ends up having stability issues that the beta didn't.
