A Special Gift With Daz Studio 4.12

I opened my latest Gift Code from Daz and tried to apply it to my latest order and it tells me the code is invalid. OK I got it wrong, try upper and lower case, No good, add spaces, no good, wait ten minutes, no good.

Is the code not working or am I really no good!

Oh! Yes, I have installed 4.12.

    Don't know if that still the case but there used to be a thing where they alwways send two mails with codes and one was wrong, the other was working. If you only got one and its not working that's when you submit a ticket

    ^I think they mean the coupon code in the purple banner - mine worked (no spaces, all caps).

    Might be that you need a certain cart, or the absence of certain things in the cart. I just checked out with only the one item in the cart.

    I don't know if something glitched since I used it a little while ago, but it worked for me, Have you tried signing out and back in again?     I didn't had any problem with Adria, only had her in the cart and code worked fine. With Rita you need to have two new releases (any new releases) to get her for free

    DOH!!! I had to add the item to the cart! I just assumed the way it was written that I just got it added to the cart! Colour me red (faced)!

    this is just SOOOOO annoying. again, a clear and obnoxious preference towards female characters. same happened recently with victoria 8 (and other vics before) - only she was offered but no michael alternative, which would be the natural pendant to vic. why does this "gift" from today only contain a CHICK?

    so, since i don't collect female charas, today i get NOTHING again. thx daz, very appreciated. is it so hard to offer both alternatives - male + female - and let the customer pick one of both as they like? it's segregation imho. :( *not happy*

    I got Adria, though I already have Lyoness' Naia HD and didn't need another sea nymph. Couldn't figure out how to get Rita, too early, but at least I got one of them. XD

    I don't think this will help in your case, but when I see coupon codes in the opened purple, etc. banner, here's what I do.

    1. Select the coupon code text while the banner window is open.  This generally closes the window after I complete the selection.
    2. Click on the banner at the top again to re-open the window
    3. Right click>copy on the still selected text
    4. Go to my cart and paste the text in the coupon code field, then click the 'Apply' button.

    This way I don't have to worry about mis-typing the coupon code.  It's worked every time for me since I figured this out.

    I'm using Firefox BTW in case that matters.

    I  saw your reference to "Female Charas" and it reminded me of a little Russian dive I used to visit in Germany.
    Sounds like a descriptive term I'd hear there. Thanks for the memories.

    Thank you so much Daz! smileyheart I got  Adria and Rita HD for the PC+ price of  2.79 by buying Perfect Portrait Lights (which I had my eye on but was saving to buy at a moment like this smiley).

    Yeah, it's cool that Free Adria counts toward the 2 items required toward getting Free Rita.

    yes, i do complain, since i have no use whatsoever for that character hence i wont download it hence i get no gift, just because as always, there's a chick overload in everything everywhere here including the majority of freebies. it would be so easy - since there's no way they'd switch to offer single male figures instead for a while for a change - to offer both alternatives.
    afaik, i'm allowed an opinion as a valued customer, it's all i have left since this super kind banner is absolutely pointless to me.

    fyi, i have only visited those funny random complaint threads a few times just for a laugh. i don't really need to vent about the weather in a 3d store's forum. however, i consider that complaining in the thread directly on the subject about the lack of insight of a shop offering freebies and other stuff centered on one gender and the fact that i find it very annoying is not just random complaining but exercising my right as a customer and as a person.

    I justed wanted to show my appreciation for the G8F Freebie. Mind you, it's not what I wish to get all the time if you guys put together a team to find what character/thing can be a freebie for a day or so. I prefer to get more male freebies than females, as its so rare to find a guy on sale or as a freebie. Please keep that in mind. (Still waiting for the Michael Freebie for my Victoria's, that would be more than enough for one male freebie for the year :])

    I am inclined to agree manekiNeko. I would prefer to get an option to choose between either female or male character they would allow a freebie code to be used on. I don't find myself in a rush to use the more modern G8 because I hardly have any male characters to put beside the G8F. I stick to the first Genesis, however inferior it may be considered :)

    yeah i can understand that complaining doesn't exactly enhance the mood in a thread, and that it might not be very appreciated by the powers that be either... but what am i supposed to do? just swallow down - again - my frustration in silence? it's very disappointing to have this prple banner jump at your face and then to realize that well, many people will be happy about the gift, but i'm gonna go empty again, just because i don't use females, what the heck i'd love to get a gift too.

    Sure ... and hopefully the suggestions are being heard. My frustration with MRs is that so few permit use in freebies and that's all I make.

    freebies = items given away at no cost
