Make Hair Less Shiny?

New to messing with hair settings... I like the style of hair like the one below, but it's way too shiny for my tastes. Is there a way to either dull down the shininess or alternatively use hair colors/materials from different purchased hair?

It depends on which shader is used, but in general, you can reduce the glossy settings, or increase the glossy roughness settings, and failing that, changing the glossy colour to something darker, that resembles the actual hair colour may help. There are numerous iray hair shaders in the store that can also help achieve what you’re looking for.

Thanks. Can iray hair shaders be used across all iray hair? One size fits all?

Most, a few may have a UV mapping that won't work (or won't work fully) with the ahir shaders - also note that there is at least one set that is for strand hair and won't work well on some older models.

If you are using hair with Iray materials another thing to check is the TopCoat settings as that is often used to add gloss.

I don't have that hair but my guess is to increase the glossy roughness and/or top coat roughness values.
