im new to animation so i explain the problem

i have got the aniBlock High Heel Walk for Genesis 8

https://www.daz3d.com/aniblock-high-heel-walk-for-genesis-8-female-s

but since my caracter has wider than normal hips, the arms when the swing back and forth with the walk moves into the body

simple question can i modifiy the arms position for this types of animation or are they locked?

i have tried to change and bend the arms position in timeline but nothing works

animation seems to be locked for the caracter

hmm after second try it seems to buy the new arms positions but only if i set the bending to "use limits" and then reduce + and - limits for the arms.

this way the arms doesnt bend into the body.

but this only creates a new global position on the arms for the whole animation

is it possible to change position for each frame?

Yes – you first must bake to keyframes:

    Hope this helps.

ETA: I believe it works the same in Lite, and IIRC, you have to right click in open space in the Animate pane to get the option to bake to keyframes. From there, it's editing in the Timeline pane.

  • There is an easier way, assuming you have the full animate rather than the lite version. I cannot write everything quickly, there are youtube tutorials, etc - but you need to add a sublayer to your character, add an empty aniblock, go into keyframe mode with that block and adjust her arms out a little - then strectch the aniblock out through the entire animation section.

  • Great info - thanks @3141592654!
