Unfollowing followers in Garments

So, during this PA fest, I had occasion to check out a lot of PAs I've not paid much attention to. I came across the Neo Ayane outfit and saw this image in one of the promos.

So there's an option to turn off follow for one part of this garment. Is that something that can be done with other garment, or do you need mad PA skillz to do this? I can think of a number of times where following has caused posing problems, and turning off follows for single section would be beneficial, especially when dForcing non-dForce garments.

I don't have that set, but I suspect the dress bones have their rotations multiplied by the Follow Legs property - so when it is off they are multiplied by 0 and effectively locked. This is fairly standard ERC, which can be set up in the property Hierarchy pane and the Parameters pane in Edit mode (right-click menu).
I'm still kind of new. What is ERC?
Enhanced Remote Control
Ah, thanks. So that's what to use when run-of the-mill couch potato remote controls don't cut it? My question wasn't so much what the acronym stood for, as what ERC is in the grand scheme of Daz tweakery and what is enhanced, what does it control exactly, and how far you need to be for it still to count as remote.
ERC is a way to link two properties together, so that chnages to the controller modify the controlled property. You can see linkages on many properties if you click the gear icon on their slider>Parameter Settings and look at the tabs at the bottom.
Thank you for the explanation. I'll go see about blowing up some stuff once this render is done.
