Hexagon Tutorial don't match what I have completely, got problems...

I purchased the Hexagon Revisited-mp4 tutorials a while back and started watching the vids.  The videos is using 2.5.2.79 version while I have 2.5.2.109.  I watching the third video (the first three vids was about marketing and a pep talk) and it shows the little arrows you can move sections of the image around.  Well, I don't have those arrows.  They are like the ones in Daz Studio to move your objects around.  All I can do is go side to side.  Rotate and scale manipulators don't work since I don't have the arrows.  I'm actually in the first 2.5 minutes into the first video demonstrating hexagon and I am already having outdated information problems.  Can anyone help me here?  Is there something I need to click on to see those guide arrows?

    Oops.  Just found the problem.  The manipulators were hidden by the ghost.  I think I have it now.

    The keyboard shortcut is the spacebar. Mine disappear all the time because I accidentally bounced my thumb in the wrong place. :)
