Been looking for a more modern Jessica Rabbit costume, but I don't remember seeing the above dress in the store, at least not recently.

I thought so also as well as the jessica dress, but both have a different bust line and the gloves are different.
It's at least partially a kit bash, as the color on the dress doesn't seem to be the original color... note that the shader exactly matches the bikini in other promotional shots. There's also something really odd about the way the dress drapes over the exposed knee. My guess is that it's a fuller dress that's had the bustline lowered with a transparency map.
It doesn't match. This one has cut out finger gloves. The Genesis 2 dress has full finger gloves. And the bust midline goes straight across. The Genesis 2 dress bust midline dips down. The heels are different too. I would say this dress was made for Genesis 8, it's not a rehash of an old dress.
And shaders are your friend...
Interesting. Maybe 3D Sugar will release it someday as a seperate product. I hope so, anyway!

Probably not though. It's not that long in the back.
Hmm, the bust looks similar but the slits on the Hot Dress are much higher and wider (tbh I'm not a fan of the super high slits that seem to be trending on Renderosity, I'd prefer something like the above promo image)
You can edit the geometry within DAZ (Tools > Geometry Editor) to selectively hide the fingers and reshape the bust midline (or you do it with custom transparency masks), and there ain't nothing says you can't use heels from a different outfit in a promo.
Not saying it IS the G2 outfit, and not saying it ain't: just that it would be easy to make those changes, and it wouldn't be the first time a PA tweaked the kit in promo image.
I see a completely different dress. The cut at the knee is different too. It's more toward the front of the leg with a V-cut at the top. The Genesis 2 dress is cut at the side, and has a U-cut. And the drapery at the bottom of the dress is more complex, and even takes the shape the floor, so it could be dForce capable. Yes, you can play around with transparency maps, but this isn't the case here.

That could well be it!
The one thing I find unusual about this dress is that, if you look at the bottom, you can see it has a transparent lace pattern running up the entire backside, which is odd. If it is a re-textured dress, then you'll never see it in the shop, that is, the re-textured version.
