.MDD File help (newbie)

Hey folks, I just created my first animation sequence linking aniblocks and happy with the results. From the size of the .mdd file (2.5 gigs at 45 fps), I'm sure that option stored the motion/animation but, neither Daz Studio 4, nor my copy of Bryce 7, Poser 9 or Blender will import/load/play the .mdd file. I'm still new at this and believe I read somewhere that Carrara can play .mdd's. Anyway, I thought, What's the use of exporting in a particular file format if you can't play it back or view the animation you've created? Need a little help here, please!
