New DS 4.11 update?

I was wondering what was fixed in this update. 4.11 kept crashing for me and when it did, it corrupted all my scripts in the menu bar making them unusable. Yesterday, it took 3 hours to track them all down and restore them, then it crashed again and wiped them out! I had already put in a ticket requesting a roll back to 4.10 but they wanted more info. Does anybody know what is in this update and if it makes it more stable?
Editing to add that when I try to update through DIM, it says Download Failed!

I'm also experiencing "Download Failed!" on DIM today for a Daz product update, but I didn't had any problem in my current 4.11 instalation, I'm using it daily.
Strange that there is no mention to this update on Daz Studio thread
Also had crashes. Also can't download update.
Just did a clean install today on a new drive and found daz updated to 4.11 DIM dosn't work for me either all downloads failed so I had to manually download and install everything, everything seems to work though.
There is not an update to DS 4.11 since 4.11.0.383 a few weeks back.
I also have it and Default Resources in DIM today. Clicked on the crooked info icon next to the DS update and it says it can't find a local readme file.
I have the same issue. Download failed, no read me file found.
I'm also seeing an update in my downloads but haven't tried getting it yet as I'm already on 4.11.0.383. That is the correct version, yes?
Interesting..... I have DS 4.11.0.383 installed and DIM is showing that an update is available, with the italicized "i" like mentioned above. I haven't checked in a few days, but DIM is also showing updates for the 4.12 Beta as well (normal "i" for the info on these). Maybe some problem associated with setting up to Beta update is causing 4.11 to show as having an update available - even though it doesn't?
Have got 4.12 Beta here too and my 4.11 "update" fails when I try downloading. Has somebody gotten the installer mixed up in such a way it's confusing DIM?
Then they might want to look into why these people are getting notices for updates then?
The 4.12 Beta is MILES better than the general release. I highly recommend all of you to just skip the general release and use the beta exclusively until an actual update comes along to correct the issues 4.11 seems to have. 4.12 not only fixes some issues of 4.11, but Iray is FASTER than 4.11. And if you happen to own a RTX card, then is even more faster. There is very little reason to use 4.11 at all. 4.11 is obsolete to 4.12.
It seems kind of backward to me that the beta is more stable than the general release...isn't it supposed to be the other way around? Why not push the beta out to general and end the customer's suffering? I do not understand the reasoning for not doing this.
For what it's worth, I checked the manual download in the product library, and it still shows 4.11.0.383. The readme doesn't show an update to the program itself. Maybe there were updates to some of the resources.
Checking the info on the various products that usually update when a new version of DS is released, the package date on those items is 6/5/2019 (or earlier for files that update with some but not all version releases.) The only exception is the Default Resources for DAZ Studio 4.9+, which has today's date.
I downloaded the resources without installing and used DIM to "Show Package Files…" of the update, copying the file list into a text editor. I then did the same for the installed resources, using "Show Installed Files…, copying that list into a second file in my text editor. I then compared the two files.
The newer file contains the new resources to support "4-Layer Uber PBR MDL", which sounds like a 4-layer Iray shader to me. I recommend you backup your existing Default Resources for DAZ Studio 4.9+ file first, and then go ahead and download and install the new one.
If you run into problems with the new file, you can drop a copy of the previous one into the DIM Downloads directory and reinstall the older file.
I got this as well.
I could download and install the DS Default Resources (about 32 mb) today but the DAZ Studio 4.11+ (about 629 mb) update I could not download. It keeps failing with "Download Failed!"
I have that update installed already and now DIM has listing to download a DAZ Studio release dated 2019 -06-06T06:03:12Z. If also had an update for the DAZ Studio Default Resources which I was able to download and install but from what you say may have been an older version of the DAZ Studio Default Resources. The Default Resources for DAZ Studio 4.9+ has a date of 2019-08-28T19:33:11Z
I don't have the 4.12 beta update as I updated this week to 4.12.0.60
The "update" for 4.11 disappeared today, but I still see an update for "Default Resources for DAZ Studio 4.9+". Is this legit or another oops?
That one I got too, and it downloaded fast at least
I wanna know why I have an update to Resources for DAZ Studio 4.9+ in my DIM? 4.9?? REALLY?? LOL
4.9+ - versions of DS later than 4.9, up to and including 4.12.
The Default Resources does have a real update - bug fixes and feature additions. The application "update" was spurious, and shoudl have been removed from the system last night.
Ah, OK. The naming just set off a red flag for me! LOL
