More battle fantasy and sci-fi armor but never any sports stuff :(

So give a baseball diamond, soccer field, basketball court.... but it does not mean anything without uniforms, pads, equipment. Have not seen an American football uniform since M3. We just saw some basketball stuff come out.
Is DAZ and PAs ignoring a market or is there no market for sports themed items in 3D art ?
I just put 3 items in my cart, the 5 soccer court, the indor stadium, and poses - but after looking for uniforms and pads deleted the items and decided to call it a day. The rugby uniform just does not come close enough to my vision.

The store does have one for Genesis - which I won't contend is recent, but it is at least more compatible with newer models (through auto-fit and clothing convertors) than M3.
Still, yes - it does often surprise me how often common real-world items play second fiddle to the more fantastical (to the point I've had to make some of them myself in Blender).
Saw this in a coupon sale listing... had to put it in the cart.

Not bad as far as soccer outfits go.
American football? I think there are some Post-Apocalyptic shoulder pads and maybe a helmet :-D
For soccer, you can also go with the beach soccer thing. There's one setting at Rendo, and there are plenty of bikinis. Maybe not so many banana hammocks, however.
This is the perfect example of something that won't show up in a google search. The word soccer, or football for that matter, doesn't appear anywhere on the page, so if you are googling for say 'Soccer outfit' or 'Soccer clothing' Google has no reason to flag this page. And Unifom may give you a bunch of really unrelated items in your Google search.
I was searching recently for soccer outifts. The older stuff for V4/M4 came up, and of course Hot Soccer at Rendo, which doesn't have soccer cleats. And if you search for soccer cleats or soccer shoes, or football, again this page won't come up.
The shoes in this product look like they may have cleats, but the product images don't give you a clear view of the soles. I tried autofitting the V4 ones to a G3F character, that didn't go well...
Anyways, just a note to PA's. Being a bit more descriptive in your product pages may help with google searches, when people are trying to find stuff that's similar to what you made. X Fashion Uniform doesn't really scream 'Soccer' or 'Football' to me either, but I get that the PA here has an X-Fashion' product line. Hence why I suggest putting the word 'Soccer' in the descriptive text for the product.
The items/morphs listing just says 'Top', 'Bottom', 'Shoes' so that won't flag Google searches either, just noting that. That may make finding a soccer related item in your product library search a bit more difficult as well, but hopefully you'll spot it in your category search.
I just did a google search for 'Soccer Uniform' and this item didn't show up on the first few pages. A list of a few threads in this forum are item #2 in my Google search, and no doubt this reply will improve the rankings of this particular thread since I used the word Soccer so much in this post, but only one of the first three Daz forum threads that I see in my Google search mentions the X-Fashion product.
Anyways, just wanted to mention that. Thanks for the share, The Blurst Of Times! I've now wishlisted that item for later. And hopefully you just helped out with Google searches by sharing the link to the product!
Ha! No problem! I do plan to pick it up with the coupon that I have, so I'll try to render something with the bottom of the shoes.
The cleats don't look huge, but that's not a deal killer for me. The impression of having something like cleats is often enough for an image (even if that depth of cleat wouldn't do much in actual long grass).
Thanks Blurst! Looking forward to your render.
When I see the title of this thread, I immediately think of Blood Bowl. A Blood Bowl setting might be the perfect place to use some of that fantasy armor on the sports field! Plus Blood Bowl has fantasy races such as Orcs, Lizards, Elves, Dwarfs, and such. For the few of you that may not be familiar with this game: https://www.bloodbowl.com/
Okay... on this one. https://www.daz3d.com/x-fashion-uniform-03-for-genesis-8-females
Shirt? The shape is good. (Gotta love the collar.) Some might balk at the midrift exposure, but there are length dials. There's a bit of pokeyness, but not insurmountable. The textures... "13" is the number, and it's integrated into the base textures. I can work through it with GIMP, no problem, but I would have preferred the number to be a decal. It could use bump or normal maps for more fabric-style texture, however. There are 2 material zones - the main shirt and the trims (collar and sleeve). So that's a positive. You can do a quick hit on the zones for single-color uniforms if you don't like the base textures.
The shoes are also okay. Again, it's the shape that's the best part. Cleats are not huge, but that's okay. The sole is one piece with the cleats, so if you want to recolor, it is somewhat of a bother if you want separately colored cleat/sole. (I suspect larger cleats would deform a lot with foot movement, anyway.)
Socks and shorts? Good enough to use without any real edits. Maybe bump work for the socks... I didn't really look closely.
I can deal with this to create a soccer team. It will take a bit of work in GIMP, I think, but I am used to doing that. The exposure of the mid-torso is the other part that may offend a purist, but to me, that's a positive.
Very fast render... (That ball is just a sphere with a texture on top. I realized I don't have an actual soccer ball in my library while I was messing around with this.)
I love love love Touchdown Star. But it only converts so-so to Genesis 8 - the shoulderpads just never come out right - and I would kill for a G8 version.
...we have Footy (soccer), Basketball, and even Rugby and to an extent, US football covered, however, there are still no new generic baseball unis.
There was one a while back for M3 (which was fairly expensive as I recall) but that has since been pulled from the store.
..the only issue with that is American football teams (both professional and collegiate) wear the shoulder pads under the jersey.
^ I'm aware of that. I'd be okay with the jersey over the pads, as long as the pads are actual separate pieces that can be worn apart, not like with this product.
...true, however, that would mean a layering the jersey over the pads which would require the ability to set up multiple collision zones which we don't have yet.
Speaking of hot soccer...
BTW, the cleats are from this set:

With the textures replaced of course!
Are you talking about the smoothing modifier? The pads could have an invisible area that covers the abdomen and lower back like a bodysuit. The jersey could collide with that.
