Re-installing Daz Studio 4.11

I've suddenly begun getting lots of 'fatal errors' with 4.11(first time was when I was doing an all night render so I've no idea of the cause). It was originally installed with the Install Manager. If I do a manual re-install will that be the same as the IM instal did, or not? Then how would I go about doing it so that everythig remains the same?
