Yeah, those really are some fantastic renders!

Most PAs do their own promo imagery so it's fairly likely that Mihrelle did them. :) They did turn out pretty cute - I like the "storybook" looking ones in particular. :D

Really? I remember seeing otherwise in some other threads. Isn't there a couple of groups on facebook that hire out for promo artists, like Sympatico, etc?

    They are very nice!

@FSMCDesigns: There probably are, but not all PAs hire other artists to do their promos. I'm not even sure if many do. The ones I talk to all seem to do their own artwork. It probably depends on who feels they need to and have the budget to hire a promo artist. I'd love to hire someone to do my promos 'cause I'm not a teriffic render artist and my Mac renders even simple scenes very slowly (but I do my best and try to make nice pictures). In my case, the income from Daz is our only income and most of it goes towards paying the bills, so there's usually nothing much left over for the hiring of an outside artist. Maybe someday. smiley

The groups like that are usually used for promoting the products on social media sites like facebook, the images by those groups (from what I've been told) are hardly ever used for the in-store Promo images.

@Quixotry I always really enjoy your product promos! Some of the first products I saw in the store were your poses, and they made a big impression on me. laugh

The product itself is pleasing too. Aside from Samsil's stuff, this is the only good Blackgirl hair I've found out there.

  • Hey guys, i'm in Sympatico Studio n we don't charge money for our promos, the product itself is our payment n there have been quite a few images from our artists used as store promos xxxxxx

I snapped up the hair really quick, those are lovely pictures.

I would love to do some promo pictures just for a chance to get my name out there more and to play with new products. Deals don't always need to be money based.

Aprilysh has a few products that I like for Black men and women characters, but MRL dforce Curly Bun hair and Samsil's products are my favorites so far.

A lot of PA's do do their own promos but they also like to have a couple of other people do them as well so there is a mix of imagery.

Some people who do promos charge for them, others like me just like to have the product as payment (and credit where they can, I don't think Daz credits?).

I know Sympatico Studio's doesn't charge to do the promo's (can't vouch for other promo groups), the product is payment. And they put them all over social media but sometimes the PA's use them in product promos as well (with credit).  :)

Yes, exactly, some charge (referencing individuals here, not promo groups) and others don't - I do charge a fee, actually, for my in-store promo renders, but there's room for everyone :) And right again, many PA's do their own in-store promotional work, but there are a number of those out there who prefer to spend their time creating the product rather then working up the store images.  In such cases that's where the talented pool of promo artists come in!

  • I scarfed up that hair too! Im looking forward to doing it in my next promo image lol

  • I did promo for a couple of studios, included Sympatico, and for Daz store as well. Never asked a single dollar ^_^

I would charge if I would make a whole set of store promos but, Promo Groups like Sympatico Studio do not charge, they can keep the product as payment.
