Easy Liquid Custom Shader Problems
in The Commons
Just downloaded Easy Liquid Custom Shader by SF Designs to preset destination folders in Daz Studio 4.11. When I apply preset shaders to a primitive (plane or cube) it simply turns black. Even in render. Adjustments available within the Surfaces tab don't make any difference. What am I doing wrong?

@kgcampbell_085ab32729, Try creating a Cube primitive and apply the same shader to the cube. Do you see the expected color with the cube?
If you are using the presets from the Surfaces tab, go down the left column and find "Shader Sets" and double-click. Then find "Easy Liquid Shader …" and double-click on that. There will be 5 subsections: 01 Basic Colors, 02 Liquids, 03 Complete Water, 04Effects, and 05 Geometry.
I've tested both a plane and cube with various presets, and it's only the Basic Colors that don't want to play nice with the plane.
Along with the above, double check that you are rendering in iRay. Though all black surfaces kind of sounds like the shader itself didn't install. I'll try to check later what the name of the file is to look for to make sure it's in your Studio install.
I had the same the same issue, @AlmightyQUEST, when applying the Basic Color shaders to a plane primitive. The same shader on a cube primitive worked as expected. I was definitely in Iray. And I was testing in the 4.11 release.
I think the Basic Colors are intended for volumes, such as a cube, sphere, etc., and not having a volume, a plane doesn't respond to light as we expected.
