Incremental Saves of Renders?

Is it possible to save a render but keep the rendering process going?

Example: I have a render that is at 70% convergence but it looks like it might be good enough. So I want to see how it looks after my post processing shenanigans but just in case it isn't quite ready I want to keep the render going.

Try stopping the render, then go to File>Save Last Render.., then Resume the render. I've not tried this.

I do this a lot. It works great. (Iray)
