How to convert a *.daz file to *.duf?

I've been scouring the boards, but I can't find any specific steps on how to convert a hair or clothing item, say AprilYSH's Vane Braid.daz to a DUF format file.

Is there an guide or thread somewhere that my google-fu missed that would help in this process?

    Load it, if it will, then save as a new scene.

    I'll give that a try. I didn't know if I needed to save it as an asset or something along those lines since it is for hair and clothing items. Thx.
