Symmetry menu

Hello all,

I'm a long time poser user trying to get back into DS. Having trouble getting the Symmetry options to work as I'm used to in Poser. I've figured it out to some extent, but the fingers of the target arm refuse to comply.

I've selected the left shoulder node of the figure, then I bring up the symmetry menu. I choose Selected for the node, and Recursive for propagation, and left everything else alone, since it was set to "left to right" already. When I execute, all of the arm except the fingers do what they're supposed to. It's a Genesis 3 make figure.

What am I doing wrong?

  • Were the fingers psoed directly, or did you use some of the pose controls to pose several joints with one slider/ If the latter you need to use the Bake to Transforms command, from the same menu, to turn the pose controls into basic posed bones.

I used the pose controls. Will baking change the figure in any way?

No, it just zeroes the pose controls and isntead poses the figners (or whatever) directly on the bones, the valeus should be the same before and after.
