Using slave hard drives

Could someone please tell me if it is possible to run Daz completely from a slave drive ?

I have a 6 TB SATA drive I would like to use, running out of room on my 1 TB drive.

Thank you in advance for any help in this matter.

Cheers.

Yeah, thats the way I'm running. You need to set up all of the directories on the new drive in DIM first, then go into Studio and point it to the new directories, as well as your existing ones. It would be cleaner to do a full reinstall and remove everything from your small drive, but that can be time intensive

...trust me, a full reinstall is very time intensive if you have a lot of stuff.  I had my library HD go south on me late last year and still am sort of in process of installing my freebie library and haven't touched much of of the Poser stuff yet (pretty much installing that as I need it).

The idea of Master/slave drives went away with IDE. Drives are all equal now.

Besides some of the OS stuff, which can be quite difficult to move, any program or program's data files can be installed on any drive. DS assets are quite easy to move. There is even a script that will move them all for you around the forum somewhere. Just be aware that you're best off letting such run overnight as transferring several hundred Gb of data takes a while.
